Paddle Power Passport consists of 4 levels, starting at 2 before progressing to level 3, 4 and 5 (Paddle Power Start is equal to level 1). Each level progresses from the last in a modular fashion building on core paddling skills along the way.
The paddling sessions last an hour, although you are able to book as many sessions in a day as you wish.
A confident beginner would usually complete the Paddle Power Passport certificate in 8 sessions.
So, if you are looking to fill an hour or more, Paddle Power Passport is the one for you.
During the session(s) with our qualified British Canoe Union Coaches, you will cover modules that include Safety Awareness, Paddling Skills, Varied Experiences, and Supporting Knowledge.
Whilst completing the Passport scheme, a log book is signed off on a modular basis, when this book is complete it can be sent to the British Canoe Union in exchange for a certificate.
We do not recommend trying to complete the Passport scheme in one day. The very nature of the scheme works best if young paddlers are allowed time to learn and practice their new paddle skills over a number of weeks to help consolidate their learning.
