Our staff are experienced BCU instructors who are able to train and assess you for the NEW 1,2, 3 and 4 star certificates in kayaking and canoeing.

Join us for a day and complete your 1 star training and assessment in either kayak/canoe or using a sit on top.

If you reach the required standard on the day you will receive a pass slip and be able to order your one star certificate direct from the British Canoe Union.

The 1 star award is the first in the 'star tests' endorsed by the British Canoe Union and is an ideal place to start your kayaking or canoeing. The course covers forward paddling, backwards paddling, turning, stopping and basic kayak or canoe control.

To complete the test you have to answer some kayak or canoe theory questions, perform a capsize drill (kayak only) and show a basic understanding of some more advanced paddle strokes.

It is all possible with the steady encouragement of our Paddlesport instructors.

All equipment hire, instruction and insurance is included.
